Protection is the difference between a fault being an event and being a catastrophe. ICPE's protection engineers design relay schemes, develop settings, and modernize electromechanical relaying to microprocessor platforms for utilities and industrial systems.
ICPE coordinates protection with the physical substation design and the SCADA that watches it, so schemes are testable, documented, and maintainable by the crews who inherit them.
Settings are developed against a coordination study rather than a manufacturer default, and every element that is enabled has a stated reason for being on. Schemes that trip for faults they were never meant to see cause more lost production than the faults themselves, so selectivity is checked across the operating configurations the system will really run in.
Relay migrations are as much a documentation project as an engineering one. Electromechanical panels rarely match their drawings after four decades of changes, so ICPE traces the existing scheme, records what it actually does, and hands back schematics and a written narrative the crews inheriting the station can test against.
