Privacy policy

This policy describes how Intermountain Consumer Professional Engineers, Inc. (“ICPE,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through this website. We are a business-to-business engineering firm; this site exists to describe our services and let you contact us.

What we collect

Information you submit through our contact / request-a-proposal form: name, company, email, phone, and your message. A first-party cookie preference (“icpe-consent”) stored in your browser records your cookie choice for 12 months. Standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

Who we share it with. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: (1) our website hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., server logs); (2) our business email provider (to deliver your form submission to us); (3) an analytics provider, only if we add analytics and only if you consent to analytics cookies; and (4) professional advisers or authorities where required by law. Each service provider is permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.

How we use it

Form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry and are delivered to our business email. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for marketing lists without your consent.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. This site uses them as follows:

CookiePartyTypePurposeDuration
icpe-consentFirst-partyEssentialRecords your cookie preference12 months

Essential cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are not currently used on this site. If we add them, they will load only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner; if you choose “Essential only” (or make no choice), they will never be set, and this table will be updated to name the vendor, its cookies, and their durations. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie Preferences” in the footer, and you can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. This site sets no advertising or social-media cookies.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information, do not set advertising cookies, and would load analytics cookies only with your affirmative consent, this site does not take additional action in response to DNT or GPC signals; there is no sale or sharing for such signals to opt you out of.

Third-party data collection on this site

We do not permit third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site.

Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; receive a portable copy; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising or profiling. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling, and we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by these laws.

How to exercise your rights. Contact us at sales@icpeinc.com or (801) 255-1111. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email address associated with the information) and respond within 45 days, extendable once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, as permitted by law. You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the authorization and verification of your identity. We will never discriminate against you, in price, service, or otherwise, for exercising any privacy right.

Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal within a reasonable period by replying to our decision or emailing sales@icpeinc.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond in writing within the time required by your state’s law (generally 45 to 60 days) with the reasons for our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state’s Attorney General or privacy regulator.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will post a prominent notice on this page for at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Retention & security

Inquiry emails are retained as ordinary business correspondence. We use industry-standard hosting protections (TLS in transit) and limit access to submitted information to personnel who handle proposals. Server logs maintained by our hosting provider are retained for a limited period for security and reliability purposes. We retain your cookie preference for 12 months, after which the banner will ask again.
