Capital projects in mining, power generation, and industrial infrastructure involve significant technical and financial risk: risk that is best managed through independent, owner-aligned oversight. ICPE's owner's engineering services provide clients with a dedicated and experienced team of licensed professional engineers whose responsibility is to the owner throughout every phase of project execution, from design through commissioning.

ICPE engineers review technical designs, evaluate contractor and vendor deliverables, monitor construction quality and progress, and provide objective, informed guidance at each stage of the project. This independent oversight allows owners to identify and address issues proactively, maintain schedule and budget discipline, and move forward with confidence, knowing their interests are represented by an engineering team with no competing obligations.

Services

01Project Management. Overseeing the project on behalf of the owner, ensuring that it stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards. This includes coordinating with all parties involved, from contractors to regulatory authorities.
02Design Review and Approval. Reviewing and approving engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure they meet the owner's requirements, comply with regulations, and are technically sound.
03Procurement Support. Assisting the owner in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and providing recommendations for the selection of contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
04Contract Administration. Managing contracts with contractors, suppliers, and consultants on behalf of the owner, including negotiating terms, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
05Technical Due Diligence. Conducting technical due diligence assessments for acquisitions, investments, or financing purposes to evaluate the technical feasibility, risks, and opportunities associated with a project.
06Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC). Implementing QA/QC procedures to ensure that construction work meets specified quality standards and regulatory requirements, including conducting inspections and audits.
07Construction Supervision. Overseeing construction activities to ensure they are carried out according to approved designs, specifications, and schedules, and addressing any issues or deviations that may arise during construction.
08Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management. Implementing HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project stakeholders and compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
09Risk Management. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks to minimize their impact on project objectives, including developing risk management plans and contingency measures.
10Commissioning and Start-Up Support. Coordinating the commissioning and start-up activities to ensure that systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operational according to project requirements before handover to the owner.
11Project Documentation and Reporting. Maintaining accurate project documentation, records, and reports to track project progress, milestones, and expenditures, and provide regular updates to the owner.
12Dispute Resolution. Assisting the owner in resolving disputes or conflicts that may arise during the project, including mediation, negotiation, or arbitration with contractors, suppliers, or other stakeholders.
13Training and Knowledge Transfer. Providing training and knowledge transfer sessions to the owner's team to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to manage and operate the project effectively after completion.
14Post-Construction Support. Providing support to the owner after project completion, including warranty management, defect rectification, and addressing any operational or maintenance issues that may arise.
15Flow sheet development. Defining the process steps and equipment configuration required to achieve project objectives, then independently verifying that metallurgical or process testwork supports those design assumptions before capital is committed.
16Lab testing oversight. Provide recommendations for metallurgical or professional laboratory services and test work recommendations.
