Arc flash, coordination, and load flow: know your system and its capabilities.
Every plant runs on assumptions about its power system. Studies replace those assumptions with numbers: how much fault current is really available, whether equipment is rated to withstand it, whether protective devices operate selectively or trip together, and what incident energy a worker actually faces at each panel.
ICPE builds and maintains system models for plants and utilities across the region, delivering results the electricians can use: labels on the gear, settings in the relays and trip units, and a model that stays current as the plant changes.
Field data collection is most of the work, and it decides whether the results are true. Nameplates, cable lengths, the settings actually in the protective devices, and the connections someone changed years ago without updating a drawing all go into the model, because a study built on the as-designed system describes a plant that no longer exists.
Results are only worth something if they change what happens next. Labels go on the gear, settings go into the protective devices, and the upgrade list is ranked so a plant with limited capital knows which three items to fund first. The model goes to the owner, so the next modification updates the study instead of starting one from scratch.
